We have six tortoises that regularly pass through our back yard in Bluewater Bay. Their favorite food is bananas with apples running a close second. Today, this bunny was the first to the Banana Buffet showing that the Hare really is faster than the Tortoise.

The 58th annual Blessing of the Fleet in Destin Harbor is a tradition that harkens back to Destin's origins as a small fishing village.

Sunday afternoon a little bright green hummingbird allowed me to hold it and was not frightened. It even allowed me to stroke its head, back and  chest. The bird remained in my open palm for about 20 minutes. It then perched itself on my index finger. 5 minutes later it flew off.
