Search dogs

A body found on Jan. 24 and believed to be that of a man with Alzheimer's disease who had been missing since July was discovered by the Southwest Panhandle Search and Rescue team, which uses dogs to hunt for people in such settings. They've been called in to several missing persons cases across the Panhandle in recent months. They also responded to the Hurricane Katrina disaster in Louisiana and Mississippi.
